The Los Angeles Lakers haven't yet seen two of their offseason additions in a preseason game. According to the Los Angeles Times, center Walker Kessler and guard Collin Sexton have both missed every preseason game so far because of injuries, and it's still unclear when they will return.
The Times reported that their availability is in doubt for the Lakers' fourth preseason game. That game is set for Tuesday in Las Vegas against the Golden State Warriors.
Kessler practiced Saturday after hitting his finger on the backboard, but he didn't take part in live drills, the Times reported. Redick said he was "not committed" to having Kessler available against the Warriors on Tuesday.
Los Angeles paid a lot to land Kessler. The Times reported that the Lakers gave up four first-round picks to acquire him from the Utah Jazz and signed him to a four-year, $130-million contract.
The team is counting on Kessler to anchor its defense and to give the Lakers a lob threat they have wanted, the Times reported.
