Rams vs. Broncos preview: Limiting Bo Nix tops the list of keys in Denver

In a Week 3 preview, TheRams.com says the Rams' first key on Sunday Night Football is to pressure Bo Nix or shut down his receivers.

The Los Angeles Rams are set to play their third straight prime-time game to open the 2026 season when they visit the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. Kickoff for the Week 3 Sunday Night Football game is scheduled for 5:20 p.m. PT on NBC.

In a preview from TheRams.com, the team's official site, the first key to a Rams win is limiting Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. The preview lays out two ways to do it: put pressure on Nix and keep him contained in the backfield, or have the secondary shut down a receiver group led by Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton. Doing both would be even better.

TheRams.com notes that Nix has not run much in the first two weeks, though that could change against Los Angeles. The bigger story has been his passing. He threw for 131 yards in Week 1 and 288 yards in Week 2.

Denver's scoring followed the same pattern. According to the preview, the Broncos scored 10 points in a Week 1 loss and 20 points in a Week 2 win. Waddle had just 2 yards against the Chiefs in Week 1 and then finished Week 2 with 136 more yards than that.

The preview's takeaway is that the Rams could decide this game the same way Denver's first two results were decided: by making Nix uncomfortable in the pocket, taking away his downfield options, or both.

TheRams.com lists its second key as getting both Kyren Williams and Blake Corum going in the run game.
