The Los Angeles Rams probably won't start the clock on Myles Garrett's return from injured reserve next week, coach Sean McVay said, according to a Los Angeles Times report published Oct. 10.
Garrett becomes eligible to come off injured reserve next week. Still, McVay said he doesn't expect the team to open the 21-day window that would let the star defensive end start working his way back onto the active roster in the coming days.
"It's kind of week to week in terms of how he feels, but I would say it's more likely that we do not start his clock next week," McVay said after practice, per the Times.
Garrett had knee surgery last month on his left knee. The Times reports the knee had bothered him throughout training camp and again in the Rams' season opener.
There is still no clear timeline for when Garrett will rejoin the Rams. For now, McVay is framing his status as week to week.
