Puka Nacua is back on the field for the Los Angeles Rams. According to TheRams.com, the wide receiver had a rough start to the 2026 season, with injuries keeping him out of the previous two games against the Broncos and Giants. He returned against the Eagles in Philadelphia.
Nacua had been looking forward to the return. In the days before the game, TheRams.com reports, he said he "can't think of anything else but smiling" when he thought about getting back on the field.
His first catch came on a 3rd-and-3 in the first half. Matthew Stafford hit Nacua in stride as he ran down the sideline. Eagles cornerback Riq Woolen got a hand in to break up the pass, but Nacua adjusted and held on for a 28-yard gain. "Making sure I can track that ball all the way in, getting a first catch on a double move is definitely one to get the juices flowing," Nacua said after the game.
Later in the half, Nacua scored his first touchdown of the season, which was also the third rushing touchdown of his career. On first-and-goal from the Eagles' 2-yard line, he went in motion behind the formation. Stafford handed him the ball while falling down, and Nacua took it from there.
Stafford praised his receiver after the game. "I thought he played great," the quarterback said, adding that Nacua made "some tough catches late in the game for us over the middle, guys draped all over him. I think he played like Puka to me."
