Dodgers' Miguel Rojas reflects on what could be his final postseason run

In a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, the veteran infielder said he has been emotional at home and would rather say thank you in his own way than hold a farewell press conference.

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas is heading into what may be his last postseason as a player, and he told the Los Angeles Times that the moment has been weighing on him.

Rojas has been with the Dodgers since returning to the club in 2023. Over that stretch, according to the Times, he has been part of two championship teams, and he was the hero of Game 7 of last year's World Series.

The Times reported that Rojas has stayed composed on the field, but away from it he has struggled to hold back his emotions. "It's been hard," Rojas told the paper. "I'm not going to lie. I've been crying by myself at home."

Rojas explained that he has been using social media posts to thank people rather than scheduling a formal retirement announcement. He said he doesn't believe his career warrants a full press conference and that he isn't headed for the Hall of Fame, so he plans to handle it "my own way."

According to the Times, one recent post was a series of photos showing Rojas looking up at fans applauding him from the left-field bleachers at Dodger Stadium. Rojas said he wants fans and people around baseball to know how grateful he is for all the moments.

Rojas also told the Times he would not play for another team.
