The Los Angeles Dodgers changed their roster for the National League Championship Series on Sunday. They added pitcher Justin Wrobleski and left Hyeseong Kim off, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Times reported that the move strengthens the bullpen with a pitcher who can cover multiple innings. The NLCS is the Dodgers' first best-of-seven series of this postseason.
For this round, Los Angeles will carry 13 pitchers and 13 position players. That is one more pitcher and one fewer position player than the team had in the previous round.
Kim was dropped to make room for the extra arm. He had served as a pinch-runner and defensive replacement, and the Times noted that he played in just one NLDS game, coming in on defense in the ninth inning of Game 4.
The Times' headline also says the Dodgers kept Miguel Rojas on the roster. The captured report does not give any other details about that decision.
