LAFC returns to BMO Stadium against Vancouver Whitecaps for Noche LÁFC on Oct. 10

After a month away from home, the Black & Gold hosts Vancouver on Saturday, Oct. 10. The night will celebrate LA's Latin community, and several players are coming back from international duty.

LAFC is scheduled to play the Vancouver Whitecaps at BMO Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10, in a match the club is promoting as Noche LÁFC, a night that celebrates LA's Latin community. According to LAFC.com, by kickoff a full month will have passed since the team's last home game, a win over Red Bull New York.

LAFC.com says a lot has changed during that stretch. The club has gone through a coaching change, and about one-fourth of the roster has been away for international competition. The club's report doesn't give details on the coaching change.

Several of those players scored while they were away. LAFC.com reports that Son Heung-Min scored twice for South Korea in a series of home friendlies. Denis Bouanga, the club's all-time leading scorer, scored for Gabon in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. In MLS play this season, the two have combined for 20 goals and 21 assists, and Son's 13 assists have him tied for the league lead.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has recorded 12 clean sheets in 24 MLS starts this year. That total is also tied for the league lead, according to the club.

Mathieu Choinière and Jacob Shaffelburg played for Canada during the break, and midfielder Jude Terry played with the USA U-19 team. Newcomer Leo Walta, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder, scored two goals for Finland in the UEFA Nations League. LAFC.com says he could make his LAFC debut on Saturday.

LAFC is 8W-3L-2D at home in MLS play in 2026. The club says it has the best home record in MLS since it joined the league in 2018.
