The LA Galaxy return to Dignity Health Sports Park to host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. PT. The match streams on Apple TV. According to the club's match preview on LAGalaxy.com, published Sept. 25, Los Angeles comes in off a 3-2 comeback win at Minnesota United FC.
Colorado won the first meeting this season 4-1 on March 7. Over the longer run, the matchup has favored the Galaxy. LAGalaxy.com lists LA's all-time regular-season record against the Rapids at 41-34-13 over 88 meetings, including 27-11-6 at home. The Galaxy have won three of the last five regular-season games between the clubs and five of the last seven in all competitions since the start of 2024. That stretch includes a 2024 regular-season sweep and playoff wins of 5-0 and 4-1 on the Galaxy's way to the MLS Cup. In 2025 the teams split the series. Each side won at home without conceding: Colorado 2-0 in June, and LA 3-0 in August.
LA has taken seven points from four matches in September. That run includes a 2-1 home win over the New England Revolution, a 1-1 draw with the Seattle Sounders and the win in Minnesota. The club says every point matters as the playoff race heads into its final weeks.
Midfielder Marco Reus has led the way. He has three goals and two assists in the last four matches, and his 16 goal contributions this season (seven goals, nine assists) lead the team. According to the club, Reus made the MLS Team of the Matchday three times in September. His performance off the bench in Minnesota also put him on the EA SPORTS FC27 Team of the Week as the only MLS player picked.
Others have chipped in too. João Klauss scored against Minnesota in his return from the injured list, his first goal since April. Lucas Calegari had an assist in his second appearance for the club. In goal, JT Marcinkowski has made 91 saves in league play this season with a 76.5% save percentage, which the club says is a career best.
The game is also the club's annual Mexican Heritage Night. The first 15,000 fans will receive Hirving "Chucky" Lozano posters. Starting at 6 p.m. PT, the Mexico vs. Colombia international friendly will be shown on big screens around Galaxy Park, Legends Plaza and SoccerFest. The stadium museum will host a special exhibit, "¿Y Sí Sí?", curated by Mexican American artist Gabe Nava, featuring moments from Mexico's 2026 World Cup matches. Local nonprofit Para Los Niños is the match's community partner and will deliver the game ball.
