The LA Galaxy have a new official partner. AEG and the AI company Fundamental announced a partnership on Oct. 8, 2026, that covers the six-time MLS Cup champions and L.A. LIVE, AEG's sports and entertainment district in downtown Los Angeles, LAGalaxy.com reported.
AEG Global Partnerships brokered the deal. It centers on NEXUS, which Fundamental calls a Large Tabular Model. According to LAGalaxy.com, the Galaxy and L.A. LIVE will use the model on the commercial side, in ticketing, marketing and partnership strategy, to generate predictive insights from their own data.
The release draws a line between NEXUS and large language models. Language models work with text. NEXUS is designed for tabular data, meaning the rows and columns of structured business records. The company says the goal is to help organizations anticipate what may happen next, not just explain what already happened.
NEXUS will also be the presenting sponsor of the Coachella Valley Invitational. The release describes it as the largest preseason professional soccer tournament in the United States, with 20 teams from MLS and the NWSL.
Fundamental CEO Jeremy Fraenkel said the partnership gives the company "an opportunity to work alongside the LA Galaxy and L.A. LIVE to show what a foundation model built for tabular data, not text, can do for an industry built on split-second decisions."
Tom Braun, the Galaxy's president and chief operating officer, said the club is "constantly looking for new ways to deepen our understanding of our fans and set the Galaxy up for long-term growth," and sees "real potential for it to inform how we engage fans, build partnerships, and grow the club."
